CHANGE AFFECTING YOUR CHECKING ACCOUNT:

Effective July 1, 2010, a Federal law will go into effect that requires a change to the features of your checking account. This change will affect the level of service we can provide to you unless you take action, as noted below!

The new regulation requires us to obtain your approval before we consider payment of your ATM withdrawals and debit card purchases that may create an overdraft in your checking account. We currently provide this service to you as part of our Overdraft Privilege Program.

The majority of our members utilize this service to avoid the embarrassment of having their debit card purchase denied at the grocery store checkout line, at the pharmacy when paying for prescriptions, or at a restaurant when paying the bill.

If you do not opt-in to our Overdraft Privilege Program, LUSO Federal Credit Union will no longer be able to consider payment of your ATM and one-time debit transactions that would create a checking account overdraft.

We are pleased to offer you this convenient service. And remember, there is no charge for this service unless you use it!
